The first piece of advice that every writer doles out is read widely. In this free-ranging conversation, Windham-Campbell Prize director Michael Kelleher talks with David Chariandy, Raghu Karnad, Young Jean Lee, and Rebecca Solnit about books: the ones that inspired them to become writers, the ones that influenced their writing, and the ones that they are reading now.
Michael Kelleher is a poet and the director of the Windham-Campbell Prizes. His most recent book is Visible Instruments (2017).
