Alexis Pauline Gumbs, a self-described Queer Black Troublemaker and Black Feminist Love Evangelist, recently completed a biography of the OG Queer Black Troublemaker, poet Audre Lorde. Join her for a trip through the poet's life and a blessing including original archival materials from the Beinecke.

Melissa Barton is Curator of Drama and Prose for the Yale Collection of American Literature, which includes the James Weldon Johnson Memorial Collection of African American Arts and Letters, at Beinecke Library. She is the author of Gather Out of Star-Dust: A Harlem Renaissance Album and has curated exhibitions at Beinecke including “Gather Out of Star-Dust: The Harlem Renaissance and The Beinecke Library” and “Brava! Women Make American Theater.”
